MISLAM stems from the observation of the present-day conflicts and instability leading to the resurfacing of unresolved inter/national issues in public and political debates.

Accordingly, the project addresses topical and knotty problems by investigating – through the prism of normativity – usually overlooked dynamics occurring when the daily life of MMCs’ im/migrants unfolds on European soil, or when migrant wo/men (are forced to) travel back to their country of origin.
